Mitchell 1 Releases Top 20 Tips For Manager SE

The tips were contributed by auto repair shops participating in the Mitchell 1 Manager Forum, an interactive community of automotive professionals using Manager SE.

As part of the ongoing celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Mitchell 1 shop management solution, the company has compiled 20 helpful product tips and shortcuts for users of its Manager SE shop management software.

Mitchell 1 - LogoThe Top 20 Tips were selected from hundreds of ideas from shops that use the software every day. The tips were contributed by auto repair shops participating in the Mitchell 1 Manager Forum, an interactive community of automotive professionals using Manager SE. The “Top 20 Tips for Manager SE” booklet may be viewed and downloaded at no cost on the Mitchell 1 Manager SE webpage.

In their own words, automotive shop owners, managers and professional technicians discuss situations they encounter in their shops and how they use the Manager SE shop management system to accomplish more in less time. Topics cover everything from quickly correcting customer payments that were made in error to preserving vehicle repair history once the customers sell their vehicles.

“Shops owners who rely on this software to run their businesses were willing to share their experiences and new ideas to help other shops streamline their operations,” said Tim McDonnell, national training manager for Mitchell 1. “It’s inspiring to see the support, camaraderie and positive outcomes on the Forum; the Top 20 Tips are a natural by-product of that spirit of collaboration.”

The Mitchell 1 shop management solution started as Series I on Sept. 21, 1995. That was followed by Series II, the company’s first product to also include inventory and purchase orders, which was released in 1997. Since then, the product has evolved through generations of technology and numerous feature enhancements.
