Mighty Distributing Gives Vertical Development Excellence In Service And Support Award

Vertical Development received the 2016-’17 Excellence in Service and Support award from Mighty Distributing System of America. This award represents efforts made through a partnership spanning more than 15 years as Vertical Development has helped Mighty deliver unparalleled support for its franchisees and customers, according to the company. ShowMeTheParts provides Mighty with multiple solutions to deliver detailed parts information to its customers.

When Mighty Distributing System of America says it needed help, it turned to Vertical Development to manage its catalog system. As the parts distributor has developed its business, it says Vertical Development has been there each step of the way, helping the company transition to the digital age and build its support network. To recognize this exemplary service, Mighty gave Vertical Development its 2016-’17 Excellence in Service Award.

“Jay Wright and his team at Vertical Development have helped to make Mighty’s Product Information what it is today and none of this would be possible without Jay’s dedicated service and support. We look forward to continuing our partnership for many years to come,” said Adams Phillips, director of product information

While other parts outlets serve a mix of professional and consumer customers, Mighty specializes in providing parts to professionals, directly serving more than 12,000 repair facilities across America. They provide items for regular vehicle maintenance from air filters to oil as well as specialty equipment including transmission fluid exchangers and fuel rail cleaners. Sales and service is handled through a franchising system which Mighty supports through its web-based Tech Central service that includes its parts catalog, technical library and training courses.

Mighty Distributing first partnered with Vertical Development in 2001 to create a catalog management system that evolved into its award-winning Mighty MIC Plus CD and Mighty Interactive Catalog. These catalogs are integrated into Mighty’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, helping them manage their entire distribution system from purchasing to sales while being a key part of Tech Central. Based on Vertical Development’s ShowMeTheParts database, Mighty’s interactive catalog provides franchisees and customers with detailed information on parts including specifications, applications and photos. Using these tools continues to get easier with new features like the ability to find compatible parts by typing in or scanning a vehicle’s VIN, eliminating the guesswork needed to determine equipment options.

“We’re honored to receive this award. The proliferation of Internet and mobile access has opened up better ways to deliver information, letting us help Mighty provide the high level of service and support their reputation is built on,” said Wright, president and founder of Vertical Development.
