Brooke Fletcher has been selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Iowa Motor Carriers Foundation.

DES MOINES, Iowa – Brooke Fletcher has been selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Iowa Motor Carriers Foundation. The Iowa Motor Carriers Foundation is a division of the Iowa Motor Truck Association (IMTA) and has been awarding scholarships since 1986 to Iowans pursuing an advanced degree at an Iowa college or university. This year, the foundation is awarding 10 $1,000 scholarships to recipients who possess the work ethic, grades and commitment to excellence that are the main focus of the selection process.

Brooke is the recipient of the Midwest Wheel Companies scholarship. The scholarship was presented by John Minor, executive vice president and COO of Midwest Wheel Companies.

Midwest Wheel Companies is a longtime IMTA member that offers a variety of truck parts, accessories and services throughout Iowa and beyond. Midwest Wheel established the scholarship in an effort to show its support of young Iowans pursuing continued education. Scholarships through the Iowa Motor Carriers Foundation are available to anyone who is pursuing advanced education in the State of Iowa. The foundation was created in an effort for the trucking industry to give back to the state of Iowa and to invest in the most important asset that Iowa has – the next generation.

The Iowa Motor Truck Association is a non-profit trade association that represents the trucking industry, the moving and warehousing industry, the towing and recovery industry, and the tire dealers industry. The association was formed in 1942 and has more than 700 company members.
