Mickey Thompson Sponsors ‘Sweet 16’ Event

Big money is on the line at the Battle of the Thrones.

Big money will be on the line as some of the best DOT radial drag racers in the world look to battle it out at the 5th Annual Sweet 16 “Battle of the Thrones.”

Presented by DuckX and BossX, and sponsored in part by Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels, Sweet 16 5.0 will feature the Baddest Radial Vs. the World, Pro275, X275, Limited Drag Radial (LDR) and ULTRA STREET competitions. Races will be held March 24-26 at South Georgia Motorsports Park.

“Sweet 16 is back for another year and we’ll be there to support all the action,” said Jason Moulton, sr. motorsports manager, Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels. “When racing enthusiasts gather and bring the best, fastest machines together with this much talent and money on the line, anything can happen.”

With the Baddest Radial vs. the World cars racing for over $100,000 and the X275 drivers racing for $50,000, this is a race you don’t want to miss. Organizers expect plenty of personal and track records will be set.

Mickey Thompson’s DOT-approved radial drag tire, the ET Street Radial Pro, is a purpose-built race tire for classes requiring P275/60R15 or P315/60R15 tires. The racing tire features radial construction designed to take more power for better launches and a minimum tread pattern for maximum traction, making it a popular choice for racers competing in the Sweet 16 5.0.
