Mickey Thompson Backs Summit Racing Drag-n-Drive Event

The performance enthusiast brand will serve as Presenting Sponsor of the Summit Racing Midwest Drags set for June 6-10.

Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels announced it is supporting a five-day street/strip competition as Presenting Sponsor of the Summit Racing Equipment Midwest Drags Drag-n-Drive Event.

Set for June 6-10, the Summit Midwest Drags includes drag racing at three Midwest dragstrips over four days. All registered vehicles must be driven on public roads between each stop, making for an interesting display of power vs. reliability.

“What a great way to put street and strip machines to the ultimate test,” said Jason Moulton, senior motorsports manager of Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels. “We are excited to be a part of this unique challenge and look forward to supporting all participants.”

The Summit Midwest Drags features more than a dozen racing classes, attracting a variety of racecars and horsepower levels. All vehicles must be street-legal and comply with NHRA and/or IHRA rules.

Mickey Thompson says this sponsorship allows it to showcase a variety of Drag Racing tires, included it’s popular ET DragPro Bracket Radials, and ET Street lines all designed to set the standard for straight-line competition. The line includes street/strip models that offer performance and versatility, giving performance enthusiasts a platform to get the most out of their machines starting with its tires.

The Summit Midwest Drags event features racing at Edgewater Motor Sports Park in Ohio, US 41 Motorplex in Indiana, Dragway 42 in Ohio, and then a return to Edgewater. Competitors must stop at predetermined performance companies while traveling between venues.
