Michigan-Based Parts Plus Member ACI Parts Warehousing Purchases Controlling Assets Of H & H Wheel Service

The acquisition, which was initiated when H & H CEO Richard Taylor expressed an interest in retiring, will add to ACI's already solid efforts in signing top service dealers in the area to the Parts Plus Car Care Center program, said Kevin Van Koevering, CEO of ACI.

GERMANTOWN, Tenn. – Wyoming, Mich.-based ACI Parts Warehousing has reached an agreement to purchase certain assets of H & H Wheel Service, a fellow Parts Plus member located in the Metro Detroit area of Roseville, according to Mike Lambert, president of the Automotive Distribution Network.

“ACI’s acquisition of H & H Wheel Service will not only provide the company with a bigger footprint in the industry but will also enable the expanding Parts Plus WD to further enhance the level of customer service throughout Michigan and Northern Ohio,” Lambert said. “ACI and H & H have both worked hard to establish the Parts Plus name, and this acquisition will only strengthen the brand’s recognition and professional image in the region.”

The acquisition, which was initiated when H & H CEO Richard Taylor expressed an interest in retiring, will add to ACI’s already solid efforts in signing top service dealers in the area to the Parts Plus Car Care Center program, said Kevin Van Koevering, CEO of ACI.

“With several Car Care Centers currently enrolled, we see potential for even more growth as we bring our enthusiastic approach to ACI’s expanding market in the Detroit area,” Van Koevering said. “This was a perfect opportunity to enter a market that we didn’t previously serve but was an ideal geographic fit for our main warehouse. We view this acquisition as vital to our continued prosperity as a company in this thriving marketplace. H & H’s strong heavy-duty division will bring positive synergies to our growing organization as well.”
