Michelin, Continental Make Forbes List Of ‘Best Employers For Women’

The list represents the companies that have in place initiatives to “support their female workforces in the range of areas that are important to women — among them pay equity, opportunities for advancement and family leave.”

From Tire Review

The Michelin Group and Continental are the two tire companies among others in the automotive sector to make Forbes’ list of “Best Employers for Women.”

The list represents the companies that have in place initiatives to “support their female workforces in the range of areas that are important to women — among them pay equity, opportunities for advancement and family leave.” The news outlet partnered with market research company Statista to identify these companies in its first-ever ranking of America’s best employers for women.

To determine the list, Statista surveyed 40,000 Americans, including 25,000 women, working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. All the surveys were anonymous, allowing participants to openly share their opinions.

Among automotive companies, Tesla ranked 176th while the Volvo Group came in at 188th. Toyota USA (222th) and Tenneco (268th) also rounded out the top half of the automotive segment. Michelin came in at 277th, and Continental took the 288th place. Harley Davidson came in at 291st in the automotive category.
