Mevotech Announces Two New Executive Appointments

Company appoints Gordon Paton (pictured, left) as manager of engineering and research and development, and appoints Robert Shotton (pictured, right) as quality control manager.

TORONTO, Ontario – Mevotech Inc. has appointed Gordon Paton as manager of engineering and R&D.  Pictured left to right, Gordon Paton and Robert Shotton.
 
Paton comes to Mevotech after spending 12 years at Tier 1 suppliers in the OE automotive sector. He holds a bachelor of applied science degree from the University of Waterloo and is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario.

“Gordon brings 20 years of experience in product development in the automotive industry,” said Scott Stone, VP of sales and marketing. “At Mevotech, we focus on innovation, quality and coverage and I know Gordon will bring immense value and insight as we continue to deliver that to the market.”
 
In his new position, Paton will lead Mevotech’s engineering team, product development and research and development.

Additionally, Mevotech has appointed Robert Shotton as quality control manager.
 
Shotton comes to Mevotech after spending 14 years at Chrysler Canada Inc. In his new position, he will help develop Mevotech’s quality programs focusing on ISO, continuous improvement and Lean Enterprise Solutions.

“Robert has 15 years of experience in quality,” said Stone. “He brings with him ASQ and SME Affiliations along with numerous awards for quality. We are excited to have someone of his caliber join the Mevotech team.”
