PLYMOUTH, MI — Metaldyne has named Wendy Beale Needham to the company’s board of directors.
Needham most recently served as managing director of global automotive research for Credit Suisse First Boston. Before retiring in 2003, she provided investment research on the automotive industry, including extensive research on economic factors driving industry demand trends, and impact on stock price performance.
Before joining Credit Suisse First Boston, she was principal of automotive research at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, where she participated extensively in merger and equity issuance activities during a period of rapid auto industry consolidation.
“Wendy Needham is an excellent addition to our board,” said Tim Leuliette, Metaldyne chairman, president and CEO. “Her strong financial background and extensive knowledge of the automotive industry will be great assets to our growing company.”
From 1981 to 1994, Needham was a research analyst at Smith Barney, where she built a strong franchise in global automotive coverage, including U.S., Japanese and European automakers. She was named managing director of automotive research in 1989.
