The Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) and Messe Frankfurt recently announced the launch of “Connected Mobility,” a new event focused on technology and sustainability trends impacting the future of the transportation industry. The conference, exhibits and a Ride ’n’ Drive event will be held Oct. 26-28 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.
The conference will be a multi-day event comprised of 10 panels and four executive-level keynote presentations, along with ample networking opportunities discussing tomorrow’s developments in eMobility, iMobility and the critical issues and concepts centered around the future of global transportation. Attendees also can take part in a hands-on experience with dynamic exhibits and demonstrations during a half-day Ride ’n’ Drive at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Current and future automotive technologies will come to life as participants interact with applications in and on actual vehicles.
“As an advocate for the motor vehicle industry, MEMA is excited for the opportunity to join forces with Messe Frankfurt to produce this thought-provoking conference,” said Steve Handschuh, president and CEO of MEMA. “Recognizing the rapid deployment of technology in today’s marketplace and its impact on the automotive industry reinforces the necessity for a platform for dialogue that connects industry stake holders.”
“The Connected Mobility conference will strengthen the market for automotive technologies and provide new avenues of discussion among today’s thought leaders. It is a forum for companies committed to the future of transportation and focuses on ideas and trends that move the market forward,” added Dennis Smith, president, Messe Frankfurt Inc. “This objective is significantly enhanced by our cooperation with MEMA.”
Connected Mobility is supported by various entities including the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, leading industry organizations such as the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) and the C3 Group.
