Matrix Partners With ‘Counting Cars’ Reality TV Show For 8th Season

The reality TV series documents Danny “The Count” Koker and the one-of-a-kind creations in his custom refinish shop in Las Vegas.

Matrix Automotive Finishes is the official automotive paint brand for the eighth season of “Counting Cars.” The reality TV series documents Danny “The Count” Koker and the one-of-a-kind creations in his custom refinish shop in Las Vegas. Matrix paint and refinish products are key to the restoration process – the system, from color to clear, is used on every single vehicle that comes out of Count’s Kustoms in Las Vegas. Season 8 of the TV series airs on History at 10/9c on Tuesdays and is produced by Leftfield Pictures, an ITV America company.

“Matrix has had a close relationship with Count’s Kustoms for more than a decade,” said Kimberly Wilson, senior marketing communications manager, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes. “Danny and his specialty painters, Ryan Evans, Lonnie Speer and ‘Horny’ Mike Henry, love the Matrix brand, and it comes across in their work. Every incredible paint job they complete demonstrates our system’s capabilities and quality performance.”

As “Counting Cars” enters its eighth season, Matrix continues to push forward as an industry innovator. Evans can attest to Matrix’s growth: “About 18 years ago, the Count’s Kustoms team had reached a dead end. We were mixing and matching bases, primers and clears from a few different brands and we knew something had to change. That’s where Matrix came in.

“When I started working with the Matrix system, I was hooked. Their base coats and sealers blew me away. It’s a solid, reliable system with incredible custom colors. Candies, pearls, multi-layer tri-stages, you name it. They cover everything and their products continue to improve. With Matrix in our corner, Count’s Kustoms has a brand to depend on, 100 percent of the time.”
