Leading automotive supplier Marelli has established an external advisory board for Magneti Marelli CK Holdings Co., Ltd., a holding company of Marelli to provide ongoing strategic advice to the Marelli board. The advisory board will consist of global market experts and will complement the main Marelli board by providing specialist counsel and insights, as Marelli continues to strengthen its position in order to compete and thrive as a global Tier 1 supplier.
Key responsibilities of the advisory board will include leveraging the members’ global experience and insights to provide counsel on company strategies. Members will work with the board to identify relevant developments and trends within the automotive industry that have the potential to influence Marelli’s long-term strategy. In addition, members will aim to broaden Marelli’s global network, helping to extend its relationships across the industry and support Marelli in achieving successful integration between Calsonic Kansei and Magneti Marelli.
Marelli has appointed Dr. Bernd M. Bohr as the first member of the advisory board. Dr. Bohr has vast experience in the automotive industry, having held a number of senior executive and non-executive roles. He spent 14 years as a member of the board of Robert Bosch GmbH and for 10 years held the role as chairman, Automotive Group, having the responsibility for the global automotive activities of the company. Prior to this, he held a range of executive roles within the company, covering business areas such as ABS and Brakes, Injection-Systems and Electronics. He has spent a number of years in Japan during his career in positions of responsibility within a range of business areas, including corporate responsibility across the region. Until 2017, he also served on the supervisory board of Daimler AG and is currently chairman of the supervisory boards of Deutz AG and Ottobock SE.
