MAPA has announced that the scholarship recipients in MAPA’s 2021 Educational Development Scholarship Fund have been chosen by Lansing’s Capital Region Community Foundation. MAPA provided three $1,000 scholarship awards, including the 2021 Jud Morrison Memorial Achievement of Excellence Award, to three individuals.

Cassie Pung, Sponsored by B & W Auto Supply located in Portland, Michigan. Cassie will be a Senior enrolled at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, majoring in Elementary Education in the fall of 2021. Cassie is the daughter of Philip Pung of Portland, Michigan and Karen Pung of Westphalia, Michigan.
Morgan Vandenberg, Sponsored by Auto Value Bay City located in Bay City, Michigan. Morgan will be a Sophomore enrolled at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan majoring in Public Relations in the fall of 2021. Morgan is the daughter of Tony Vandenberg and Cindy Burgess of Bay City, Michigan.
Emma Reid, Sponsored by Auto-Wares Group located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Emma was awarded the distinguished 2021 Justin “Jud” Morrison Memorial Achievement of Excellence Award named in memory of MAPA co-founding father and past chairman of the board of directors, Justin H. Morrison. Emma’s academic achievements and outstanding community service record exemplifies the high standards and commitment to excellence that Jud Morrison stood for. Emma will be a Freshmen enrolled at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan majoring in Accounting in the fall of 2021. Emma is the daughter of David and Angela Reid of Weidman, Michigan.
The Michigan Automotive Parts Association has allied its scholarship program with the Capital Region Community Foundation to enable MAPA’s charitable pursuits. Since the MAPA Educational Development Scholarship Fund program began in 1991, MAPA has awarded $84,500 to 90 students. A gift to the MAPA Educational Development Scholarship Fund is an excellent way to honor or memorialize a friend or relative.
