GCommerce, headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, drives commerce in the vehicular and industrial distribution supply chains through cloud-based technology solutions designed to increase revenue and streamline operations.
With the Virtual Inventory Cloud (VIC), distributors and retailers can locate and order out-of-stock items without reaching for the phone or browsing websites. VIC turns buyouts/special orders into profitable sales that extends inventory far beyond what’s on the shelf, said the company.
This integration with Autopart allows users to quickly and easily launch the VIC portal directly from their Point of Sale screen when processing bought out parts. The VIC portal allows users to view availability and place electronic purchase orders directly with compliant vendors, the integration means that such orders get automatically created on the Autopart system, providing a streamlined process for users and therefore faster service for customers.
In addition to the VIC integration, Autopart also integrates with GCommerce’s market leading electronic messaging capabilities for sending and receiving purchase orders, invoices and ASNs via EDI. This makes purchasing processes more efficient and eliminates a number of steps vs non EDI ordering.
“Helping our customers increase sales in an efficient manner is our top priority,” said Rick Main, EVP sales & marketing at GCommerce. “Working jointly with MAM Software to integrate the Virtual Inventory Cloud (VIC) will enable our joint customers to seamlessly view and order non-stock or out-of-stock parts from their suppliers.”
“We are excited to offer our users this latest addition to our GCommerce partnership. The VIC integration will streamline operations for Autopart users and helps them improve their service offering to their customers.” said Ben Stanley, director of product management at MAM Software.
