MAHLE Motorsport Hires New Marketing Manager

Former Hot Rod Magazine Editor Rob Kinnan joins the company after a storied 30-year career in performance and racing.

MAHLE Motorsport, the performance division of MAHLE North America, has announced the addition of former Hot Rod Magazine Editor, Rob Kinnan, as the company’s marketing manager. Kinnan, recognized in the industry as one of the top content creators for the performance and racing industry, will be responsible for all marketing decisions for the division, including media buys, print and digital content, creative, sponsorships, budgets, PR and events.

Kinnan has a storied career in performance and racing with longstanding relationships established from more than 30 years of participation in SEMA, PRI and the motorsports community. In addition to previously serving as the editor of Hot Rod Magazine for seven years, where he was responsible for the content for one of the largest and most successful consumer automotive titles in the world, he has also worked as the editor of Mustang Monthly and several other titles, and most recently as the marketing director for ATI ProCharger.

Kinnan says, “I recall when MAHLE Motorsport first came on the scene, muscling their way into a very crowded and competitive race piston manufacturing environment. Today, MAHLE Motorsport has earned the respect of top performance engine builders, racers, race teams and enthusiasts in part through their participation in varied race series, but more from their incredible product development that is proven at the track. I have the greatest respect for this team and what they have accomplished and look forward to building on this solid foundation.”

MAHLE Motorsport General Manager Brad Green says, “Rob is an incredible asset to our marketing team. We look forward to initiating his strategic ideas to build the MAHLE Motorsport brand.”
