MAHLE Clevite Inc. Applauds Kalitta Motorsports, John Force Racing and J&J Racing for Victories in Denver

All three teams use Clevite engine bearings in their winning racecars.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — MAHLE Clevite Inc. applauds Kalitta Motorsports, John Force Racing and J&J Racing for their recent Full Throttle Drag Racing Series victories at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals at Bandimere Speedway in Denver, Colo. All three teams use Clevite engine bearings in their winning racecars.

Doug Kalitta (Kalitta Motorsports) captured a victory in Top Fuel after four consecutive years of finishing this race in the runner-up spot. In Funny Car, defending Funny Car World Champion Robert Hight (John Force Racing) competed against points leader and teammate John Force to capture his fourth victory of the year and 17th career victory. And in Pro Stock, Allen Johnson of J&J Racing secured his first victory of the season.

"The race in Denver was a clean sweep for MAHLE Clevite as the winners of the Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock events all used Clevite engine bearings in their winning racecars — in fact two of the teams rely on MAHLE Original piston rings as well," said Bill McKnight, team leader – training for MAHLE Clevite. "We’re always pleased when drivers find success with our products and would like to extend congratulations to all of the event winners!"

Clevite says its engine bearings have a longstanding reputation with racing applications that has continued to build over the past decade. Although the market for piston rings is much more competitive than engine bearings, MAHLE Original piston rings are becoming a staple for many drag racing teams. Morgan Lucas Racing, John Force Racing, Don Schumacher Racing and Tony Pedregon Racing are examples of teams that prefer and continue to use MAHLE Original piston rings.
