ANN ARBOR, Mich. MAHLE Clevite has earned full ISO9001:2000 certification at its Olive Branch, Miss., Master Distribution Center. The certification recognizes MAHLE Clevite’s quality management system in areas of packaging and distribution of aftermarket engine parts, including ring set assembly operations.
MAHLE Clevite received ISO9001:2000 certification for packaging and distribution of aftermarket engine parts in August 2008. Most recently, MAHLE Clevite increased its certification to include piston ring set assembly operations for conformance to the ISO requirements.
According to the International Organization for Standardization, ISO 9001:2000 specifies requirements of an organization’s quality management system. In connection with the requirements, MAHLE Clevite Inc. “consistently meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements, and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through effective application of the system.”
“It takes a true team effort to accomplish a goal of this magnitude,” said Rhiannon Brown, plant quality manager for MAHLE Clevite. “From the commitment of upper management to the efforts of the operators and packers out in the warehouse, each individual contributed to the success of this program. We are all committed to providing quality products and service to our customers which is embodied in our Quality Certification.”
Don Sitter, MAHLE Clevite Quality & Aftermarket Engineering manager, added, “I’m very proud of North American Operations Manager, Ronnie Marr and Plant Quality Manager, Rhiannon Brown for setting the bar high and always providing quality products and services to our customers. Now that our Olive Branch MDC is fully certified, our next step is to register all other NAFTA locations in the MAHLE Aftermarket to these same standards.”
