Madico Inc. Acquires ClearPlex

ClearPlex markets and distributes optically clear, patent-pending glass protection films and related products for use in the transportation and electronic markets throughout the world.

clearplexlogoMadico Inc., a leading manufacturer of automotive, solar, safety and security films, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire select assets of ClearPlex Corp., an established supplier of protection films based in Draper, Utah.

ClearPlex markets and distributes optically clear, patent-pending glass protection films and related products for use in the transportation and electronic markets throughout the world. ClearPlex provides an economically sound solution to the problems of glass damage, replacement, integrity and safety, the company says.

ClearPlex has done excellent work in developing the application of clear film to protect windshields and other windows on automobiles, trucks and construction equipment,” said Jeffrey Plummer, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Madico. “They have also created a premium brand and established themselves as leaders in this segment.”

The agreement combines the strengths of Madico and ClearPlex, by leveraging Madico’s global network and resources with ClearPlex’s product and application expertise. According to Plummer, “We see this as a perfect and natural fit and are very pleased that our close business relationship has brought us to this point.”
