LANSDALE, PA — MACS ACtion magazine has been honored with four writing awards by the International Society for Vehicle Preservation. The writing honors were announced at the 2004 International Automotive Media Awards held on November 16 at Sardi’s Restaurant in New York City.
Elvis Hoffpauir, MACS ACtion editor-in-chief, was awarded a gold medal for his editorial column, “Art and Progress,” from the June 2004 issue of ACtion. MACS Editor, Jim Taylor, was awarded a gold medal for environmental writing for his September 2003 feature coverage of “SAE 2003 Alternate Refrigerant Systems Symposium” and a bronze medal for his May 2004 Expansion Valve column, “You’ll Always Have a Job.” Paul DeGuiseppi, MACS Manager of Service Training, was honored for his regular column, “Technically RELAY-ted” with a silver medal.
