Lund International has been recognized as the “Large Manufacturer of the Year” by Partnership Gwinnett, as part of the organization’s “Movers and Makers Awards” presented by Jackson EMC, a not-for-profit membership-owned electric cooperatives located in the U.S. state of Georgia with service in the North-East metropolitan Atlanta area.
In a presentation made at the Infinite Energy Forum in Duluth, Georgia, the award was presented to Lund International CEO Mitch Fogle. Lund International was praised by the Movers and Makers Award committee for its active contributions to the community and for playing a vital role in strengthening its economy.
Established by Jackson EMC, the annual awards recognize notable Gwinnett-based companies for their involvement in the manufacturing, processing or distribution of tangible goods. The largest event of its kind in Georgia, the awards program had more than 350 community leaders and industry experts in attendance.
Lund International Holding Co. designs, manufactures and markets branded automotive accessories for passenger cars, light trucks and Jeeps, as well as heavy trucks. Of its 1,200 employees, 500 are based in Georgia, many of whom are also multi-generational. Nearly all of Lund’s products are made in the U.S., a fact that is culturally important to the company.
“After thousands of hours of hard work and tireless days of perfecting all Lund International products, we are proud to be recognized with such a prestigious award,” said Fogle. “Our team strives to deliver unique and innovative products while continuing to provide outstanding customer service to a worldwide customer base.”
Following that announcement, Lund International executives attended the “Georgia Manufacturer of the Year” annual luncheon, which featured a keynote speech by Governor Nathan Deal. The event honored Lund International and all state businesses that had earned “Manufacturer of the Year” accolades.
