LSI Chemical Signs Agreement With Saudi Arabian Distributor

Diamond Island Contracting will market LSI Chemical's fuel and oil additives for downstream refinery operations.

LSI Chemical, the international division of Lubrication Specialties Inc., has announced a new distributorship agreement with Diamond Island Contracting Co., located in the Makkah Province of Saudi Arabia. The company will immediately have the right to market and distribute LSI Chemical superior multifunction fuel and oil additives developed for downstream refinery operations with a goal of improving the quality of petrol and diesel including biodiesel fuels sold in the Middle East. Additionally, Diamond Island Contracting will also distribute Hot Shot’s Secret performance lubricant products for the retail automotive aftermarket.

LSI Chemical, formed in 2020, now boasts 13 international distributors worldwide, most of which are marketing and distributing both company brands – LSI Chemical and Hot Shot’s Secret in their respective regions.

LSI Chemical currently markets five fuel additives and four oil additives developed with LSI’s proprietary nano technology, Group V Esters with friction modifiers and base oils. LSI Chemical oil additives are the first to resolve many of the troubling issues of nano particle technology – solubility for true longstanding suspension and product appearance (color). The company’s patented processes have yet to be duplicated allowing the additives to add performance characteristics unlike any other additive competitor on the market, the company says.

Hot Shot’s Secret is one of the fastest-growing performance lubricant brands in the U.S., with 50 plus products developed for unique performance specifications to reduce wear and the coefficient of friction, improve oxidation and lubricate all components for longstanding component protection, improved HP and torque. All products are tested through third-party laboratory tests to support the company’s claims. LSI Chemical President Todd Cawley said, “Diamond Island Contracting Company is our first distributor in the highly lucrative Middle East region where a large percentage of the world’s refinery fuel operations are located including Saudi Aramco, the oil giant controlled by the Saudi royal family. Saudi Aramco is listed as the 12th largest refinery in the world. This is an excellent opportunity to have an indigenous presence with a company that has strong ties to the industry.”

Diamond Industries Marketing Director, Mohammad Alzuhair, added, “Recently I had the opportunity to learn about LSI Chemical after reviewing their research findings at an STLE meeting in May. The groundbreaking research presented offers up new opportunities across multiple markets from Power Gen to mass transportation. We are excited to work with LSI Chemical and feel confident that our customer base will be equally excited to develop improved formulations based on required specifications for wear resistance, fuel economy, detergent cleaning properties and overall performance.”

Cawley adds, “Arab refineries represent 8% of the global total refining capacity that translates to 87.2 million bpd according to Oil & Gas Magazine. This is a crucial area to have a presence and build brand awareness.”
