Lori Newton Joins Global Parts Network as Director of Operations for Friction Business

Newton began her career with Haldex and served in a variety of positions with the company before being named director of operations.

CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. – VIPAR Heavy Duty has announced that Lori Newton, a veteran sales and manufacturing executive, has joined Global Parts Network LLC (GPN) as the director of operations for the organization’s new brake remanufacturing facilities. GPN is an independent company that provides seamless service support exclusively to the VIPAR Heavy Duty network of distributors and suppliers.

VIPAR Heavy Duty announced last month that it would begin remanufacturing brakes at facilities in the eastern and western parts of the United States. Reporting directly to Damron, Newton will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the new facilities.

Newton began her career with Haldex and served in a variety of positions with the company before being named director of operations. She then worked for the Page Group, where she established Eastern States Friction, a brake remanufacturing facility. Most recently, Newton was the western region sales representative for Carlisle Motion Control.

Newton earned a bachelor of business administration degree from Southern Arkansas University in industrial management.
