Live from AAPEX: MotorVac Showcases New Product Line

MotorVac Technologies, which makes proprietary technological solutions for the automotive service and repair industry, this week launched three new products at the AAPEX Show in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS — MotorVac Technologies, which makes proprietary technological solutions for the automotive service and repair industry, this week launched three new products at the AAPEX Show in Las Vegas.

The company has added to its fluid exchange equipment product line a new fuel injection cleaning machine for motorcycles. The CycleTune (Model No. MMC 231) is designed for fuel injected motorcycle systems, but also works on most carbureted motorcycle systems. According to MotorVac, the system safely removes soft carbon deposits, gum, and varnish in 30 minutes or less for improved drivability and performance. CycleTune is designed to not only restore acceleration and throttle response, but to also increase horsepower and reduce leak down past rings and valves on motorcycles with 30,000 miles or more. This portable unit includes a standard adapter kit with model-specific adapters now available for Harley-Davidson, Honda, Victory, and BMW motorcycles. The company said other models will follow.

Also at AAPEX, MotorVac debuted Automotive Solutions Preventative Maintenance Service Kits. The Automotive Solutions program includes several preventative maintenance service kit products created to provide distributors with the opportunity to supply shops with a full-service solution and help them expand their preventative maintenance service menu. The product line includes 2-Step, 3-Step and 4-Step Preventive Maintenance Service Kits to provide “Good,” “Better” and “Best” options to the consumer. The new product line now includes 13 kits in various configurations and supports all automotive fluid exchange services. Many of these products can be used with or without a fluid exchange machine, and are compatible with all types of equipment. Each product is packaged in a single-use kit, with properly measured solutions, so the shop can ensure it is providing the customer with a complete and effective service.

The third product offering unveiled at the show were the company’s new AcuTest Automotive Fluid Test Strips. According to the company, these one-step tests will provide quick and accurate visual confirmation of the condition of the vehicle’s coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid and gas motor oil. AcuTest can serve as a value-added tool to use in every preventative maintenance service program.

The CoolantClean AcuTest kit includes 3-in-1 strips that test and analyze all key antifreeze coolant factors – freeze point, nitrite, molybdate, pH and RA simultaneously. The BrakeTech AcuTest kit provides an easy and quick method for measuring moisture in DOT 3, DOT 4, and “synthetic” brake fluids. The FluidChek one-drop instant lubricant test shows proof positive results if gasoline engine oil and automatic transmission fluid needs to be changed. Each of these strips provides a visual result that can then be reviewed against a chart to determine the condition of the fluid.

Mark Hallsman, president and CEO of MotorVac said that wit these new products the company’s goal is to become the worldwide leading supplier of preventative maintenance services. “These new products take us one step closer to accomplishing this objective and being clearly recognized as the automotive fluid exchange experts,” Hallsman said.,
