GUELPH, Ontario — Leading Canadian automotive and industrial manufacturer Linamar Corp. has created a new North American sales force in an effort to enhance customer service and strengthen its product focus.
The past year was one of major growth and expansion for the company. In addition to building a new plant in Ontario that added 400 jobs, the company bought out its joint venture partner Westcast in a European joint venture the two companies had established in 1999. In September 2003, the company acquired McLaren Performance Technologies, which it planned to merge with Linamar. McLaren Performance Technologies specializes in advanced powertrain and vehicle development and testing for the automotive industry.
Linamar has located its new sales office in close proximity to Linamar’s McLaren Performance Technologies facility in nearby Livonia, MI.
“The creation of our own Linamar sales force advances our goal to streamline communications, and helps to focus our product innovation and process expertise to provide the best possible solutions to our customers’ needs.” said Jim Jarrell, COO. “Our broad development and production capability can be effectively matched to customer requirements faster, with quicker delivery of development services, technical support, and end products. These organizational changes help accomplish our strategy of adding value to all aspects of our customer relations.”
The following executives will be leading the Linamar global sales groups:
– Ken Rossman, Director of Sales – Linamar Transmission Group
– Kevin Hodgins, Director of Sales – Linamar Engine Group
– Phil Wood, Director of Sales – Chassis Group
– Leo Schramm, Director of Sales – Europe Group
