TANGIER, Morocco Lear Corp. will open its new automotive wiring plant in Morocco’s Amer Saflia area in 2013. The new plant will create approximately 700 jobs, a number that is expected to increase significantly over upcoming years, based on projected growth in Lear’s Electrical Power Management Systems business.
Lear currently operates three plants in Morocco, including two in Tangier for electrical wiring systems and automotive seating and one in Rabat, supplying industry-leading electronics such as battery chargers and gateway modules to European automakers including BMW, Renault and Volkswagen.
