Leadership Keynote Announced For Sustainable Manufacturing Conference 2018

John Thomas is the founder of John A. Thomas & Associates LLC, a retired senior vice president and chief systems engineer of Booz Allen Hamilton. He also is the past president of the 10,000-member International Council on Systems Engineering.

The organizers of the Sustainable Manufacturing Conference 2018 have announced that John Thomas will be a keynote speaker at the event, speaking about leadership. The event takes place from Sept. 26-27 in Metro Detroit.

Thomas is the founder of John A. Thomas & Associates LLC, and a retired senior vice president and chief systems engineer of Booz Allen Hamilton. He also is past president of the 10,000-member International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE).

Thomas is a leader, whether in his role is as an engineer, program manager, mentor, multi-disciplinary team member or business man. He has delivered both IT and hardware intensive systems and is a recognized developer of people. As a senior consultant, Thomas provides systems engineering and integration services to clients across the defense, security and transportation communities.

In addition, Thomas is an executive coach and mentor to technical and management professionals and a sought-after speaker to both professional, lay groups and media for systems engineering. He raises community awareness of the positive leadership impact of the systems engineer and the relevance of the discipline in addressing stakeholders’ complex and challenging problems.

He holds a Master of Science degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University. Both degrees are in electrical engineering.
