To help users better manage inventories and increase turns, the new Eagle software also includes enhanced automated stock transfer balancing across multiple locations, the ability to track sales history by item for up to four years, and several other new and enhanced features, Epicor says.

LIVERMORE, Calif. — Epicor Software Corp. (formerly Activant), has released a new version (Release 20) of the Epicor Eagle for the Aftermarket software.

According to Epicor, this new version includes nearly 300 new and enhanced features designed to help accelerate point of sale (POS) operations, increase sales, reduce inventory and improve overall business efficiency.

Among the new capabilities featured in Release 20 of the Eagle software are:
·    comprehensive management of retail promotions;
·    the ability to create and send intra-system electronic invoices;
·    back-order processing through the AConneX network;
·    streamlined returns validation;
·    in-store gift card processing;
·    posting of credits to a customer’s debit card; and
·    the ability to accept multiple credit cards as payment for a single transaction.

To help users better manage inventories and increase turns, the new Eagle software also includes enhanced automated stock transfer balancing across multiple locations, the ability to track sales history by item for up to four years, and several other new and enhanced features.

“The Epicor Eagle system is helping aftermarket business owners manage virtually every area of store operations in a far more efficient and customer focused manner,” said Paul Salsgiver, executive vice president and general manager, retail software for Epicor. “By investing in an Eagle system, users are also benefiting from significant ongoing software development based on their own input as well as extensive industry research. As a result, their Eagle systems are becoming increasingly valuable from a competitive standpoint with each new software release.”

Epicor has enhanced the system’s integrated LaserCat 3 electronic catalog with an MCL by description sort feature and the new PartExpert Editor, which enables the user to modify data that is displayed for specific lookups.

Also included with the new Eagle release is the Epicor Compass 7.0 software, one of the aftermarket’s most powerful analytics and performance management tools. Among the dozens of recently added Epicor Compass features are a user-friendly new Launch Pad design, automated end-of-month task settings, the ability to export files in XLSX and CSV formats, and group and individual record query selection.
