Last Call for NABC PRIDE Nominations

RICHMOND, VA — The National Auto Body Council (NABC) has announced the last call for nominations for the 2006 PRIDE Awards, which recognize industry professionals that exhibit the type of bravery, generosity, genius and passion that exemplify the National Auto Body Council’s mission to improve the image of the collision repair industry. Over the past 12 years, 50 PRIDE Awards have been bestowed upon the industry.

Nominations must be received by Monday, September 18. Any individual, business organization or group employed in a collision industry segment, including collision repair businesses, vehicle manufacturers, suppliers/vendors, educators, insurers, independent appraisers and trade associations is eligible to be nominated for a PRIDE award.

“We are reaching out and asking you to please take the time to recognize those that will not speak for themselves,” said Janet Chaney, 2006 PRIDE Award Committee chairperson. “If you think of someone that should be acknowledged, but feel you don’t have the time to place an online nomination, please call the NABC office or myself at the numbers listed below. A PRIDE Award committee person will collect your information and make the nomination on your behalf.”

The PRIDE Awards are not about what a person or organization does within the industry. Rather, they celebrate the effort the individual or group makes during the course of their daily lives, performing extraordinary service to their communities.

“We encourage anyone who is sitting on the fence about making a nomination to visit the NABC website and see what the Pride award is all about,” said NABC President and BASF Director of Marketing NAFTA Region Guy Bargnes. “It’s important to NABC and NABC’s cause that we give people who have gone the extra yard in terms of charity or philanthropy exposure on a national level.”

Winners will be notified by Oct. 15. The official award presentation will take place at the Collision Industry Night of Achievement, Oct. 31, at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, in conjunction with NACE and Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week. This year, all nominees will receive a PRIDE letter of recognition.”

Nominations may be made online at the NABC website, http://www.autobodycouncil.org. There is also a downloadable version of the nominating form, which can be printed and faxed to the NABC office. For more information call NABC or Janet Chaney at (480) 720-2565. In addition, nominations can be made by phone.
