Kumho Tires Named Official Tire of the U.S. Soccer Federation

D.C. United Manager Ben Olsen to host autograph signing prior to May 30 match versus Brazil.

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – Kumho Tire U.S.A. has partnered with the United States Soccer Federation (U.S.S.F.) as the official tire sponsor of the United States Men’s and Women’s National Soccer teams. Kumho Tire will be hosting an autograph signing with former star midfielder and current manager for D.C. United, Ben Olsen, prior to the upcoming friendly match between the United States and Brazil on May 30 at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.
 
“Kumho’s sponsorship of the U.S.S.F. fits well with our national branding campaign that encourages an active and adventurous lifestyle, further highlighted by our ‘Let’s Go’ motto,” said Rick Brennan, vice president of marketing, Kumho Tire U.S.A. “With the upcoming London Olympics, we are honored to be an official sponsor of United States Soccer.”
 
Olsen is well-known for his career with Major League Soccer’s (MLS) D.C. United, with two MLS Cup titles and named a two-time MLS All-Star, 1998 MLS Rookie of the Year and the 1999 MLS Cup Most Valuable Player. He will be featured at an upcoming autograph signing hosted by Kumho prior to the May 30. Attending fans will be able to choose between a co-branded soccer pennant or action photo of Ben Olson to be autographed.
