New event will feature a range of exhibitors and top industry speakers.

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Kukui Corp., a developer of marketing software solutions, will host its first trade show for the automotive repair industry Feb. 21-22. The event will be held at Kukui’s San Jose, Calif., headquarters and will feature a wide spectrum of exhibitors as well as educational seminars presented by leading industry experts.

“Through our interactions with our clients, we’ve discovered that many shop owners are hungry for the opportunity to network with each other and learn more about how to tackle the business challenges they face daily,” said Todd Westerlund, president of U.S. Operations for Kukui Corp. “We hope this inaugural show will help satisfy that need.”

The event will feature seminars tackling such topics as leadership, marketing, technology and debt alternatives.

The trade show also will include the second annual Kukui Industry Awards, which recognize repair shops in a variety of categories. Awards include: Superior Customer Service, Hybrid Shop of the Year, Technician of the Year, Service Writer of the Year and Shop of the Year.

Do you speak spark plug? Most part numbers are a meaningless series of numbers and letters. But spark plugs have a language on the side of the box that can tell you what’s inside. Like any other language, there are dialects.

The nomenclature of spark plug part numbers can tell you everything from size (diameter and reach) to what materials are on the center and ground electrode. Like learning a new language, knowing how to translate spark plug numbers can open up a new way to inventory and sell spark plugs for counter professionals.
