FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — Key Plastics L.L.C. has named David Roys group president for exterior and underhood products. He replaces Timothy Nelson, who was recently named president and chief COO of Key Plastics L.L.C. North America.
An affiliate of the Key Automotive Group, Key Plastics produces value-added components and sub-assemblies for exterior applications, interior trim and under-the-hood products.
In his new role with the company, Roys will report directly to the president of North American operations and will be responsible for directing the group’s on-going operations, product development and strategic initiatives.
Roys joined Key Plastics in 1994 as controller at the company’s Grand Rapids, Mich., facility. He was promoted to plant manager in 1996. In conjunction with the addition of the Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., facility in late 2002, he was promoted to general manager for the company’s underhood products operations.
