AKRON, OH — Ken-Tool, a manufacturer of specialty service tools for the automotive and industrial markets, has been awarded a first place award for safety by the Forging Industry Association.
Ken-Tool’s plant in Akron, Ohio, received the award, which is presented to the forging company with the best OSHA illness and safety record during the award year. During 2003, Ken-Tool had no recordable or lost time accidents.
“We are very proud of our safety record at Ken-Tool,” said Ken-Tool President Scott Meyer. “Safety in our plants is an extremely important part of our business philosophy and a good safety record reflects the efforts of every employee in our company. Safety goes way beyond banners and slogans. Safety is an attitude and must become part of a company’s culture.”
Ken-Tool is a second time winner of this award. The award will be presented at the Forging Industry Association’s upcoming annual meeting in Vancouver, BC.
