Jason Moulton brings 23 years of experience in race tire development to new role.

Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels has named Jason Moulton director of Motorsports.

With 23 years of experience in race tire development for Mickey Thompson, Moulton notably has led the development of several successful new drag race products.

“With the help of Jason’s hard work and talent, Mickey Thompson is now a top choice in drag radial racing tires, with racers setting new records and sanctioning bodies creating new race competitions around the globe,” said Ken Warner, vice president of Marketing for Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels. “We are excited for Jason to continue to build and expand the Mickey Thompson footprint in the motorsports world in his new role.”

Moulton also has led the development of Mickey Thompson’s big drag tire program. After on-track testing with several racers, Moulton developed the first innovative “Bubba” ET Drag tire for Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Comp classes and more.

“As a drag racer myself, working for Mickey Thompson has always been a dream job,” Moulton said. “As Director of Motorsports, I look forward to building on Mickey Thompson’s stellar reputation as a premier high-performance tire manufacturer, whether at the track, on the street, or in the dirt.”

Moulton will lead a team of motorsports experts attending more than 100 race events each year, providing trackside service to racers at national, divisional, and local events across the country.
