Inventory Analyst From Aftermarket Analytics Now Includes Zip-Level VIO

The company has released an updated version of its demand forecasting software using vehicles in operation (VIO) and replacement rate data.

Aftermarket Analytics, a subsidiary of TerraSeer, has announced an update to Inventory Analyst, the company’s web-based tool to help aftermarket companies accurately generate SKU-level demand forecasts. The company’s new VIO model has been enhanced beyond the county level down to the zip code level.

Pete Kornafel, a consultant to Aftermarket Analytics and the author of “Inventory Management and Purchasing,” said, “Aftermarket Analytics has combined actual vehicle registrations and other demographic data in statistically sound ways to produce a detailed U.S. VIO database. This includes corrections to raw VIO data for anomalies such as single registration locations for widely dispersed large fleets and more.”

Kornafel further states, “They have also derived a number of replacement rate models for a variety of aftermarket parts. Effective inventory management requires accurate SKU-level demand forecasts. VIO and replacement rates are vital inputs for these forecasts. Aftermarket Analytics provides all this with affordable, intuitive, cloud-based software interfaces to assist aftermarket inventory management efforts.”

Justin Holman, CEO of Aftermarket Analytics says the company is excited to offer a variety of flexible pricing solutions that are affordable and simple to use that fit the needs of the aftermarket industry.

“Earlier this year we announced the availability of Inventory Analyst, with VIO at the county level. We have refined our VIO model to include U.S zip codes,” said Holman. “Our customers tell us that our demand forecasting software makes inventory decisions much easier and more affordable than ever, which is a valuable and exciting development for the industry.”

A minimum 12-month license for Inventory Analyst starts at $24,950, includes VIO (zip-code level) and one replacement rate category. Discounts are available for multiple-year licenses.
