ProMax, a global brake parts distributor and manufacturer, has appointed Gary Mercer to the position of Western divisional sales director.
Through distribution centers in Canada and the U.S., ProMax says it provides “high-end, high-quality brake products,” including positive mold ceramic, metallic and severe-duty brake pads. In addition, ProMax offers new bonded and riveted brake shoes, disc brake rotors and drums, premium coated rotors, high-carbon, cross-drilled rotors and OE aftermarket replacement rotors as well as chassis parts.
As an industry professional, Mercer’s career has provided him with management experience with such well-known aftermarket brands as Tenneco (Monroe/Walker), Raybestos, ITT Aimco, Brembo NA and IAP Durago. He has served the industry for decades on several committees within the California Auto Wholesalers Association (CAWA) and is currently on the CAWA Manufacturer’s Advisory Council and Membership Committee. Mercer is an alumnus of AWDA University and has earned the designation of AAP.
