SANTA ANA, Calif. — IMPCO Automotive announced a key management appointment to its sales team to respond and support customer and industry partners for all post-sales technical matters. Armando Ramirez has been named technical sales, service and training manager, reporting to Rob Lykins, director of sales and marketing.
IMPCO Automotive, a business unit of Fuel System Solutions, is a cost-effective, designer, manufacturer, calibrator and installer of bi-fuel and dedicated gaseous fuel systems (CNG/LPG), focused on the North American passenger car and light and medium duty truck alternative fuels markets.
Ramirez will be responsible for management of IMPCO Automotive’s technical sales, service and training programs as they relate to the organization’s Certified Installation Partner (CIP) network, fleet customers and other dealer and OEM customers.
His primary focus will be managing and directing a team of Product and Training Specialists who will work with industry partners to ensure proper training, diagnostic and service support programs and processes are implemented. Ramirez will also be responsible for ongoing service of the growing CIP, dealer and fleet network that is being put in place throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Ramirez, who is based at the IMPCO Automotive office in Santa Ana, Calif., is an ASE-certified Master Technician and an alternative fuels industry veteran with prior sales and technical support experience at Ford Motor Co., Clean Energy Fuels Corp., ENRG Fuels Corp. and Pickens Fuel Corp.
He holds an associate of arts degree from Consumnes River College and is a graduate of the Ford Automotive Student Service Education and Training Program.
