Identifix Upgrades Direct-Hit to Support Apple iOS and Android Mobile Devices

In addition to dramatically increasing technician productivity by enabling them to diagnose and repair vehicles from any location, the upgrade also provides "pinch to zoom" functionality that allows techs to more easily view detailed documents including OE wiring diagrams, system diagrams and component locations, the company says.

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Identifix announced this week that its award-winning Direct-Hit online tool is now compatible with Apple iOS and Android devices.

In addition to dramatically increasing technician productivity by enabling them to diagnose and repair vehicles from any location, the upgrade also provides “pinch to zoom” functionality that allows techs to more easily view detailed documents including OE wiring diagrams, system diagrams and component locations, the company says.

“As a provider of online information, we’re always working toward how we can harness the power of emerging mobile technology to deliver a better, more efficient user experience,” said Jeff Sweet, president of Identifix. “Technicians are always at their most productive when they’re at the vehicle. These latest advances make it easier than ever to take Direct-Hit out on the shop floor, so techs never have to leave the bay or vehicle to get the information they need to handle even the most challenging issues.”

Identifix says that Direct-Hit delivers diagnostic and repair information faster than any other online system. The company says its industry exclusive, short-cut diagnostics streamline time-consuming trouble trees, while genuine OEM service and repair information helps technicians finish the job with speed, accuracy and confidence.
