TONAWANDA, NY and NEWTON, NJ — Middle Atlantic Warehouse Distributor Inc. (MAWDI) and icarz today announced that they will partner to deliver advanced systems capabilities to all customers of MAWDI warehouse locations.

MAWDI, headquartered in Tonawanda, NY, has more than 30 warehouses serving more than 1,500 stores in fifteen states with full lines of automotive replacement parts and accessories. MAWDI belongs to the IAPA marketing group. icarz develops and sells store and distributor management computer systems.

The new partnership with icarz will include a browser base e-catalog web based order desk through which MAWDI customers can transact commerce with MAWDI. The web site, which was recently promoted at the MAWDI Star Division warehouse show in Dallas on April 24, is currently up and running. Customers can now check stock, place orders and manage their accounts on-line.

Also as part of the new agreement, icarz will offer its PartsWatch business management system to independent MAWDI customers. PartsWatch, an Internet-based business system for the automotive aftermarket, enables customers to manage all aspects of their businesses without the normal start-up costs and on-going complexities associated with legacy systems.

“We are thrilled to announce this new relationship with MAWDI, one of the most respected and successful companies in the aftermarket,” said Jesse Hermann, president of icarz. “We spent a lot of time with the MAWDI team refining the technology, and we are excited to roll it out. We are already seeing their customers benefit from the connectivity that has now been created by MAWDI for their customers.”
