BETHESDA, MD — Independent Auto Parts of America (IAPA) has agreed to sponsor the Car Care Council Women’s Board 2005 scholarship program. The program will be awarding five scholarships to female students who are pursuing educations in automotive technology, with plans to enter the automotive field upon graduation.
IAPA was founded in 1986 to ensure the profitable growth and success of the independent auto parts store owner. IAPA represents 14 independently-owned distribution companies and more than 100 warehouse outlets in 45 states and Canada. IAPA negotiates and delivers more than $ 1 billion worth of auto parts to more than 4,000 independent auto parts store members and tech centers.
“I would like to thank IAPA for their generous donation to the Women’s Board scholarship program again this year,” said Jennifer Tio, president of the Car Care Council’s Women’s Board. “Their ongoing support is greatly appreciated.”
