ATLANTA — HUGHES Telematics has appointed technology industry veteran Dan Speicher as its new chief information officer. In this role, Speicher will manage infrastructure and overall systems development for the company’s revolutionary next generation telematics architecture.
Specifically, Speicher will manage all aspects of HUGHES Telematics’ information technology and systems development as the company prepares to launch its suite of safety and security, diagnostic, convenience, navigation and infotainment services in Chrysler and Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Speicher, who most recently served as InfoUSA’s Chief Technology Officer, joins HUGHES Telematics with extensive experience in developing information systems and infrastructure. During his 20-year tenure at InfoUSA, Speicher held a variety of positions within the information systems department, including leadership positions in software engineering and product management. His experience also includes the integration of many corporate acquisitions.
Speicher received his BS in MIS from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Neb., and has guest lectured to post-graduate engineering students at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
