Hercules Tires Honors Veterans With Oscar Mike Foundation

Keeping injured veterans on the move is the mission of The Oscar Mike Foundation. The organization provides an outlet to thousands of veterans through life-changing adaptive sports programs, experiences and other events.

Award-winning Lifetime TV show “Designing Spaces” recently highlighted Hercules Tires, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Tire Distributors, and its commitment to veterans and to American men and women in uniform, by showcasing Hercules’ donation of tires to the Oscar Mike Foundation’s veterans rehabilitation compound in Rockford, Illinois.

Keeping injured veterans on the move is the mission of The Oscar Mike Foundation. The organization provides an outlet to thousands of veterans through life-changing adaptive sports programs, experiences and other events. In pursuit of that mission, the Oscar Mike Foundation keeps its veterans on the go in a critical fleet of vehicles that can travel more than 80,000 miles every year. To ensure that these determined heroes stay safe while on the go, Hercules provided fresh sets of tires on all the vehicles based at the Foundation’s Rockford compound.

“It is an honor to be part of this project with the Oscar Mike Foundation, and a privilege to support this community,” said Josh Simpson, senior vice president, Proprietary Brands. “Our tagline for the Hercules brand is ‘Ride on our Strength,’ and it charges each of us with a new sense of purpose when we know that our tire donation will carry these American heroes on their mission to maintain an active lifestyle after being injured while serving this country. We want to thank the fantastic people at Lifetime, ‘Designing Spaces’ and the Oscar Mike team for allowing us to be a part of their journey.”

The donated tires were chosen by Hercules experts with Oscar Mike’s specific needs in mind. The Roadtour 855 SPE is a perfect match for Oscar Mike’s sedans, SUVs and minivans. These tires deliver all-season premium performance and are backed by the Hercules Performance Promise providing mileage coverage up to 85,000 miles and Road Hazard coverage. The durability and uncompromising performance of the Terra Trac T/G Max create a commercial traction tire that provides all-road capability for Oscar Mike’s off road and heavy-lifting needs.

“We would like to extend our deep thanks to Hercules Tires for their support. With these tires, our volunteers are able to get quickly and safely back on the road to pursue our mission to getting veterans on the move,” said Noah Currier, president, Oscar Mike Foundation. “Having these tires gives us all peace of mind and deeper confidence in the vehicles on which our program depends.”
