HDAW’23 Announces Keynote Speaker, Brian Kight

Kight will provide insights to "Shift.Adapt.Grow" in leadership skills.

Conference organizers for Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) announced that Brian Kight, author of DailyDiscipline.com and advisor to businesses and sports teams, will serve as the 2023 keynote speaker. In his keynote address, Kight will give inspiration for attendees to grow their businesses through improved leadership skills.

HDAW‘23, scheduled for January 16-19, 2023, at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, will welcome more than 2,500 executives and managers from across the industry, including distributors, suppliers, service providers, industry experts and thought leaders, and more.

“We are proud of where our industry is today and take pride in the resourcefulness and resilience we have all displayed to capitalize on opportunities and overcome challenges,” said Brian Rieger, vice president of America sales, Consolidated Metco, and the supplier co-chair for HDAW‘23. “We are eager to hear Brian discuss how we can continue to ‘shift, adapt and grow’ to help ensure that our attendees and their businesses can continue to evolve and be at the forefront of the heavy-duty aftermarket industry.”

Kight’s keynote will take place during the opening general session on Tuesday, January 17 and will address his proven, discipline-based strategies that can help leaders and organizations evolve with the changes in the heavy-duty aftermarket industry, HDAW says. By unpacking his performance pathway and the behaviors and strategies that accelerate performance, leaders at every level will walk away with simple, actionable skills to drive excellence in their businesses.

Kight is an entrepreneur, speaker, and advisor to businesses, sports teams, and schools, and has been featured in ESPN, The Wall Street Journal, NBC, Forms, Sports Illustrated and more. He is the founder of DIGNVS, LLC and the author of DailyDiscipline.com, a daily memo on personal discipline with over 35,550 subscribers. Its central mission is to help people build the discipline they need to accomplish what they want, as fast and reliably as possible.

“HDAW’23 is shaping up to be our largest, most impactful show to date,” stated Bill Betts, president and COO at Betts Company, and the distributor co-chair for HDAW‘23. “We look forward to providing attendees with access to industry and thought leaders, an unmatched education program, invaluable networking opportunities and an impressive, product expo and sold-out One-on-One Business Meeting Program.”

Do you speak spark plug? Most part numbers are a meaningless series of numbers and letters. But spark plugs have a language on the side of the box that can tell you what’s inside. Like any other language, there are dialects.

The nomenclature of spark plug part numbers can tell you everything from size (diameter and reach) to what materials are on the center and ground electrode. Like learning a new language, knowing how to translate spark plug numbers can open up a new way to inventory and sell spark plugs for counter professionals.
