Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) organizers have reported record-breaking exhibit space sales for the January 2017 conference. For the first time in the event’s 12-year history, all available exhibit space in the main hall, as well as the additional space in the Tool & Equipment Room, was completely sold within weeks of the initial space release.
In addition, HDAW’17 also will introduce 13 new exhibitors, many of whom will help distributors supply and service new technologies on post-2010 vehicles.
The popular one-on-one meetings also saw increased supplier support, with more than 139 companies signing up for 2017 meetings with distributors, also a new record.
“The level of interest of the supplier community in all aspects of HDAW’17 shows how important the independent aftermarket is to the commercial vehicle industry,” said Carl Mesker, vice president Aftermarket-Americas for SAF-Holland and co-chairman of HDAW’17. “The seven-week sell-out of all available HDAW exhibit space during current challenging market conditions continues to point to the growth potential for the independent heavy-duty distributor.”
According to HDAW’17 survey results, suppliers plan to use the HDAW Product Expo and Tool & Equipment Room to introduce their latest products, technology and programs as well as to promote merchandising and, new this year, HDAW specific show-specials. HDAW’17 provides heavy-duty suppliers the opportunity to showcase their product lines to the top heavy-duty aftermarket distributors in the U.S.
The 12th annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week will be held Jan. 23-26, 2017, at The Mirage in Las Vegas. HDAW is the largest North American gathering of the independent heavy-duty aftermarket industry. More than 2,500 executives and managers from the U.S., Canada and six other countries – including distributors, suppliers, service providers, educators and industry media – attended the 2016 conference in Las Vegas.
