Hastings Manufacturing Co. Promotes Bob Kollar to COO

Kollar was formerly Hastings' vice president of operations and vice president of customer satisfaction, leading the aftermarket and OEM sales efforts. He had recently taken a six-month assignment for The Anderson Group LLC as CEO and president of After Six Tuxedos of Atlanta, Ga. Prior to his time at Hastings, Kollar was a managing director at Thomson Industries Inc., a three time General Motors Supplier of the Year and a world leader in automation technology.

HASTINGS, Mich. — Hastings Manufacturing Co. has promoted Bob Kollar to chief operating officer (COO).

Kollar has been appointed to the newly created position of COO, reporting to Fred Cook, CEO. In this capacity, Kollar will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Hastings Manufacturing Co. LLC and Hastings East Manufacturing Co. Ltd., including all quality, sales, operations, engineering, human resources and finance activities. In addition, Kollar will continue on the board of directors for Hastings East Manufacturing Co. Ltd. in Changzhou, China.  
 
Kollar was formerly Hastings’ vice president of operations and vice president of customer satisfaction, leading the aftermarket and OEM sales efforts. He had recently taken a six-month assignment for The Anderson Group LLC as CEO and president of After Six Tuxedos of Atlanta, Ga. Prior to his time at Hastings, Kollar was a managing director at Thomson Industries Inc., a three time General Motors Supplier of the Year and a world leader in automation technology.
 
Kollar earned his bachelor’s degree from Oakland University in Michigan and his masters in business administration from St. Johns University in New York. He has more than years of proven management successes, making him uniquely qualified and deserving of this recognition, Hastings says.
