Goodyear Names Sherry Nolan Director Global Talent Management, Development and Diversity

In this new role, Nolan, 40, will develop and lead the company's business-wide initiatives and programs for executive and associate recruitment and retention, performance management, talent development and succession planning.

AKRON, Ohio — Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has named Sherry Nolan director of Global Talent Management, Development and Diversity, effective Dec. 8. Nolan will report directly to Joe Ruocco, senior vice president of human resources, and will be based at the company’s headquarters in Akron, Ohio.

In this new role, Nolan, 40, will develop and lead the company’s business-wide initiatives and programs for executive and associate recruitment and retention, performance management, talent development and succession planning. In addition, she will lead Goodyear’s diversity efforts on a global basis.

Nolan brings to Goodyear nearly 20 years of business-related and broad-based HR experience. For the past eight years, she held various HR leadership positions at The Pepsi Bottling Group in Somers, N.Y., where most recently she was responsible for Worldwide Diversity & Organizational Capability. In that role, Nolan led Pepsi Bottling’s global talent management, leadership development and diversity/inclusion initiatives. In previous positions, her experience has included organizational development, staffing, labor relations, succession planning and change management.

Nolan received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut.
