General Tire has partnered with eight tracks as part of its “all-in” involvement with the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. In addition to its status as a presenting sponsor at this weekend’s season opener at Daytona – the Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire – the tire manufacturer is partnering with Talladega Superspeedway, Pocono Raceway, DuQuoin State Fair and Kentucky Speedway to build an entitlement portfolio for the 2016 ARCA season.
General Tire says it will utilize a new display with this with race sponsorship and consumer activation. The April 29 race at Talladega will be known as the “General Tire 200.”
The first of two ARCA events at Pocono’s Tricky Triangle on June 3 will become the “General Tire #Anywhere Is Possible 200.”
When the series rolls into DuQuoin, Illinois, on Labor Day Weekend, the dirt race will be titled “General Tire Grabber 100.” The Grabber line of light truck tires is a focal point at the company’s tire plant located less than an hour north of the fairgrounds in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
To cap off an exciting first year for the tire brand, the late September race weekend at the newly repaved Kentucky Speedway will be named the “General Tire Super Weekend at Kentucky Speedway,” which will host the ARCA Racing Series Crosley 150 on Sept. 23 and the NASCAR XFINITY Series VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 on Sept. 24.
On top of the five race entitlements, General Tire will partner with Michigan International Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway, and Kansas Speedway to further build out the General Tire brand and offer additional events for their consumer activation.
“We are thrilled to partner with all of these great tracks in an effort to enhance the ARCA Race Series events and to bring more awareness to our tire brand in these key markets,” said Travis Roffler, General Tire’s director of marketing.
