Jon Hedges, principal at Hedges & Co. will join Jon Sinclair, vice president, eCommerce for GCommerce, in an online discussion of marketplaces and trends in selling automotive products online, at 2 p.m. EST on Oct. 3. This is the third in a series of webinars produced by GCommerce offering actionable insights and education about the digital transformation of the aftermarket.
Jon Hedges truly “knows” the automotive and powersports industries. His career spans more than 30 years with leadership roles at Summit Racing and other specialty retailers. Since 2004, he and his wife Julie have applied their deep domain expertise to automotive market research and digital marketing.
Jon Sinclair learned the basics of online retailing during his 10 years operating his own auto parts pure-play etailer. As vice president of ecommerce for another automotive retailer, he grew its e-commerce fulfillment business from zero to $100 million. In 2015, Sinclair founded Orcas Consulting, where he applied his operations and e-commerce strategy experience to develop shipping management and fulfillment software that is used today to process millions of orders annually for distribution.
Scott Luckett, vice president, Industry Strategy at GCommerce, said, “With online commerce growing four times faster than the overall aftermarket, we believe it is vital for our customers and industry leaders to understand the major trends and developments involved in selling auto parts and accessories online. We are very excited to have Jon Hedges and Jon Sinclair contribute their vast experience to this educational event. This webinar series has given us an opportunity to learn from several e-commerce experts and discover new ways to succeed in the digital aftermarket.”
Earlier this year, GCommerce presented other webinars in the series including, “Amazon: Learn to Survive and Thrive,” with Allen Adams, president of Navizon Consulting; and “eBay: Master the World’s Largest Automotive Marketplace,” with Jordon Hettinga, senior director and general manager of eBay Motors. GCommerce says both were extremely well-attended and the recordings are available on the Marketplace Selling page here.
