Gates Releases 137 New Automotive Aftermarket Parts

DENVER – The Gates Corp. has expanded its automotive products line with 137 new part numbers. The company says it has expanded coverage across several product categories by introducing new products and offering better solution parts and kits by listening to technician feedback and market research.

Highlights of the product release include the hybrid polymer air hose, a lay-flat, effortless air hose. This zero memory hose won’t kink or curl and it maintains extreme flexibility even in extreme cold, according to Gates.

In addition, this release includes 28 new integrated housing thermostats, covering more than 20 million vehicles in operation (VIO). These bolt-on solutions include all components (thermostat insert, seal and housing) needed to complete the job in one step.

OE-exact heater hose assemblies are now available that fit correctly and are available at significant savings compared to OE dealers. Manufactured with heavy-gauge steel tubing, tough welds and OE-exact hose material, these assemblies have everything needed for a complete repair.

For technicians who are looking to save time and effort in repairing E350 and E450 Super Duty vans, Gates now offers turbocharger hose kits. These all-in-one kits provide hose and T-bolt clamps that prevent oil permeation, are heat-resistant and provide better sealing, the company says.

Gates says its new Micro-V Pulley Strap Tool allows technicians to easily remove stubborn drive pulleys. The company says the patented strap wrench is simple to use and provides the utmost grasping control when removing SAE v-ribbed belt-driven pulleys.

Another new product featured in this release is the PolarSeal I couplings with O-ring featuring a new, pre-installed O-ring designed to save technicians time and hassle in completing repairs. The O-ring comes pre-installed and pre-lubricated for faster and easier installation.

Lastly, Gates has added 55 OE-exact emissions and ventilation hoses covering more than 27 million VIO. These high-quality, direct-fit replacement hoses are an exact fit for easy installation, and restoring the emission system to proper operation and performance, Gates says.
