Garage Italia Customs has announced its support of a charity initiative, the Womanity Foundation, and, for the occasion, has created a completely tailor-made Jeep Renegade. The car was donated by Jeep Switzerland and it will be put up for auction at the PalaExpo in Geneva, during the Gala organized to celebrate the foundation’s 10th anniversary.
Lapo Elkann, chairman of Garage Italia Customs, has always been a supporter of equal opportunities for women in politics, society and economics. When the Womanity Foundation invited him to participate in the gathering of funds that will take place during the event, he said he accepted with great enthusiasm. All of the proceeds will go to the activities of the foundation. Their foundation’s aim is to protect women from abuse of power and assure them of their professional presence and growth inside their communities.
“Women are the most precious resource. It is our duty and obligation to protect and respect them at all times. This is why I am proud to support the Womanity Foundation, which has been pursuing successful projects for the past 10 years to assure the integration of women in society and to protect them from violence and abuse of power. I trust that the exclusive Jeep Renegade we created with Garage Italia Customs will contribute to gather more important funds for the Foundation and its causes this evening,” said Elkann.
After a careful study, the Garage Maestros decided to personalize the car with a houndstooth (pied de poule) pattern. For the occasion, they created a special film with this personalized print and applied it to the car body.
A similar procedure was followed for the upholstery. Italian leather specialist Foglizzo supplied the garage with its refined leather. Black leather was used for the seat backings and an exclusive white leather, which was “printed” with the houndstooth pattern, characterizes the seat bases, back rests, door panels and the entire dashboard.
The main aim of Garage Italia Customs is to place its clients and their creative requirements back “in the spotlight” in a world, it claims, that has been more and more standardized and where number prevails over subjectivity. Just as a tailor-made outfit follows the lines of the body harmoniously, Garage Italia Customs says it aims at making any vehicle unique, be it a car, a motorbike, a plane, a helicopter or a yacht.
