Former Dow Engineering Plastics Executive Joins Penda Corp.

International plastics executive Ulf Buergel has been appointed president and COO of Penda Corp., a leading manufacturer of light-truck bedliners. Buergel joins Penda following a 20-year career with The Dow Chemical Co. in Midland, Mich.

PORTAGE, WI — International plastics executive Ulf Buergel has been appointed president and COO of Penda Corp., a leading manufacturer of light-truck bedliners.

Buergel joins Penda following a 20-year career with The Dow Chemical Co. in Midland, Mich. Most recently, he served as global business director and operating board member of the company’s engineering plastics business unit. Buergel also served on the boards of LG-Dow, a polycarbonate joint venture based in Korea; Sumitomo-Dow, a polycarbonate joint venture in Japan; and DHCompounding, a U.S.-based compounding joint venture with PolyOne.
